Talisker, the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye, has released new Talisker x Parley: Wilder Seas Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

The release is the distillery’s first to be finished in French Oak XO cognac casks, resulting in “a rich and complex whisky, with waves of smoke and spice that roll into sea salt”.

The new limited edition is bottled in 100% recycled glass made using biofuel. The bottle is designed with a ceramic decoration to reduce labelling, with topographic lines inspired by the undulating underwater landscape of Skye’s coastline.

It is the first product launched as part of a three-year partnership with Parley, a global environmental organisation.

Talisker will donate £3 from every bottle to Parley initiatives that support global, sustainable projects to protect and preserve sea forests off the coast of Scotland, South Africa and Chile.

In Scotland, Talisker and Parley are supporting scientific research in Orkney conducted by Plymouth Marine Laboratory, Heriot-Watt University and Blue Marine Foundation that demonstrates the vital role of sea forests in preventing climate change.

Talisker x Parley: Wilder Seas Single Malt (ABV 48.6%) has an RSP of £75 for a 70cl bottle.
