Buyers from across the UK are being invited to sample the very best of Scotland’s produce and hear the stories of producers through a series of tours and the country’s largest one-to-one global sales meeting event.

Part of Showcasing Scotland, a series of nationwide tours are being arranged for key UK buyers in March 2024. The sector focus tours encompass everything that the Scotland has to offer, from whisky to seafood, red meat to dairy, bakery to brewing, and premium grocery.

Held on 5-7 March 2024 in Edinburgh, Showcasing Scotland is designed to expand buyer exposure to some of Scotland’s best suppliers. As well as the tours, it brings together Scottish suppliers with national and international buyers in a series of one-to-one meetings to build mutually beneficial commercial opportunities, as well as networking opportunities and dinner engagements. Buyers will be hosted with overnight stays at Edinburgh’s plush Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

When Showcasing Scotland was last held in 2019, it generated deals worth more than £60m, with 150 buyers in attendance and more than 2,200 face-to-face meetings held. A total of 150 suppliers have been secured for the event and buyers are encouraged to register their interest to attend.

Iain Baxter, Chief Executive of Scotland Food & Drink, said: “In a competitive market where margins are squeezed and customers rightly expect the highest quality of products, Showcasing Scotland gives buyers the opportunity to differentiate themselves by expanding their range of first-class Scottish products.

“Showcasing Scotland allows for a unique chance for buyers to see first-hand the craft and passion that goes into our products.”
