Young Spirits, an Edinburgh based bottling and spirits business, has increased its blending and chill filtration capabilities with a £200,000 investment in new equipment.

The upgrade means the business can now offer both large- and small-scale spirit processing to clients.

The new kit was supported by Scottish Enterprise funding and will allow Young Spirits to expand into new bottling areas, explore new growth opportunities, and further the reach of its Ferg & Harris and Uhuru brands over 2024.

The carbon-neutral business currently has four bottling lines, and the investment sets it up for further expansion. It specialises in runs from 200 units and above in any size or shape of bottle and also offers hand labelling.

Barbara Russell Scott, Operations Director at Young Spirits, said: “Embarking on this significant capital investment is not just a financial decision, it is a strategic commitment to our business growth, operational excellence and continuing desire to deliver benefits for our clients.

“We strive to provide both a quality end product but also be flexible and agile for our clients, and chill filtration is just one of the exciting new services we can offer to allow us to remain competitive in the bottling category.”
