Aldi Scotland has secured a deal with spring water supplier Highland Spring to stock its Sparkling Fruit Flavoured Water Cans in all of the supermarket’s 104 stores.

Aldi, which won a total of eight gongs at this year’s Scottish Retail Food & Drink Awards, will bring two of the most popular flavours to shoppers on 15 June: Pear & Elderflower; and Blackberry, Plum & Hibiscus.

In keeping with the ethos of Highland Spring, the 330ml cans use natural source spring water and 100% natural flavours. At under 35 calories per can, each product is free from artificial sweeteners and contains no added sugar.

The deal, which sees Highland Spring-branded products stocked in Aldi for the first time since 2021, will initially bring more than 75,000 units to shelves.

Every drop of Highland Spring comes from the Ochil Hills, in Perthshire, ensuring the water is as pure as can be, and is served just as nature intended. The brand first launched its 100% recyclable range of Sparkling Fruit Flavoured Water in 2021, and has sold more than 1.4 million units to date, making it one of the supplier’s most successful ranges.

Graham Nicolson, Group Buying Director, Aldi Scotland, said: “Since our Scottish buying department was established in 2009 we have remained steadfast in our vision to support local suppliers in bringing quality products to shelves at competitive prices.

“Today, we remain the cheapest supermarket in the UK, and we are proud that through our buying and retail model, these on-the-go cans will retail at just 99p.”
