Speyside single malt, Tamdhu, has teamed up with Waitrose to release a charity bottle in support of the Atlantic Salmon Trust – a conservation charity working to secure a future for wild Atlantic salmon and their environment.

The special 12-year-old expression is available in selected Waitrose stores and online, priced at £50 for a 70cl bottle. It comes packaged in an illustrated gift box that highlights the work of the Atlantic Salmon Trust. A donation will be made to the charity for every bottle sold.

Known for maturing its whiskies exclusively in sherry casks, multi-award-winning Tamdhu Whisky is part of Ian Macleod Distillers, a family-owned whisky and gin company. It is distilled and bottled near the banks of the River Spey and relies on water from the Tamdhu spring.

Sandy McIntyre, distillery manager for Tamdhu Whisky, said: “We are so grateful to Waitrose for working with Tamdhu to support this important cause. We’re excited to bring both our whisky and the Atlantic Salmon Trust’s valuable work to a wider audience of Waitrose whisky lovers.

“With Whisky Day coming up on 17 May and Father’s Day just around the corner too (15 June) this is the perfect time to leap into the whisky aisle at Waitrose and help a good cause at the same time as enjoying a great whisky.”
