With the entry deadline for the Scottish Retail Food & Drink Awards 2022 (SRFDA) now passed, we are delighted to announce that entries are up more than 30% on last year as more producers have entered more products across a huge array of food and drink categories.

Created to help get more of Scotland’s fantastic products onto more retail shelves, the SRFDAs are set to be a highlight of the Scottish food and drink calendar this year with the awards ceremony taking place in May.

SRFDA Director Antony Begley said: “We are absolutely thrilled with both the quality and quantity of entries we have received for this year’s Awards. We have entries from across the spectrum, from small artisan producers to supermarkets and convenience chains. It’s great to see the industry continue to embrace the SRFDAs as we continue our drive to get more of Scotland’s amazing products onto more Scottish retail shelves.”

Helen Lyons, fellow SRFDA Director, added: “The SRFDAs are like no other Awards programmes. They have been created specifically with commercial aims in mind. It’s our goal to help entrants and winner secure new listings and to help expose retailers to more of the outstanding food and drink products that are made and marketed in Scotland.”

The extensive and in-depth judging process begins next month and features over 50 experience, expert judges [insert link to judges page] and all entrants will receive detailed feedback to help them continue to develop their products in the future.
