Banffshire-based Hamlyns of Scotland has announced a new partnership with Coinneach MacLeod, the Hebridean Baker.

The move follows the launch of new sustainable paper packaging across the brand’s core range of porridge oats and oatmeals.

As the ‘Official porridge of the Hebridean Baker,’ Hamlyns will be working closely with MacLeod to highlight the versatility and quality of its products.

As well as recipe videos and competitions, MacLeod is taking on the role of guest judge at the World Porridge Making Championships, which Hamlyns sponsors.

Coinneach MacLeod commented: “Every morning for me begins with porridge oats, so this partnership with Hamlyns of Scotland is truly a dream come true. As someone who is passionate about championing Scottish produce, I’m delighted to team up with a brand that has been at the heart of Scotland’s kitchens for generations. I can’t wait to share recipes together that celebrate the versatility and comforting, nourishing power of oats.”

The collaboration comes as Hamlyns introduces eye-catching recyclable paper packaging across its core range of porridge oats and oatmeal – part of the company’s wider commitment to sustainability and reducing its environmental footprint. The new-look packs are available now.

Alan Meikle, managing director of Hamlyns of Scotland, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Hebridean Baker, whose love of porridge and passion for Scottish food and culture is infectious.

“It’s an exciting time for Hamlyns. Our new sustainable packaging is a big step forward and reflects our ongoing commitment to doing the right thing for our customers and the environment. The new partnership with The Hebridean Baker is the perfect way to share our story, while celebrating everything that’s great about Scottish oats, and we hope to inspire porridge lovers across Scotland and beyond.”
