The Scottish Retail Food & Drink Awards is delighted to announce a new partnership with leading online wholesale platform Delishops. The partnership means that every single company that enters the Awards will automatically be offered a free listing on the Delishops site, putting their products in front of more than 5,000 registered food and drink buyers from across the UK.

Delishops was created two years by ago by Charlie Turnbull, who had run a successful deli for 15 years and saw an opportunity to offer retailers an easy way to purchase great quality food and drink. Delishops offers small producers a more affordable platform on which to sell and offers buyers the comfort of shopping from their desk, and all in one platform.

Charlie has extensive first-hand experience of buying and understands how buyers purchase – as well as being able to understand what makes an award-winning product – making Delishops an ideal partner for the Scottish Retail Food & Drink Awards.

He says: “I am proud to have Scottish roots and am hugely proud of the outstanding food and drink that is made in Scotland, so I am delighted to be part of these exciting Awards. Through our partnership, we will offer every single Small Producer entrant in the Scottish Retail Food & Drink Awards a free listing on the Delishops site. In addition, all winners at the Awards will be given a year’s free access to Delishops Pro, a benefit that normally costs £780 a year. This will give them the opportunity to create their own Virtual Showroom where their live ‘meet-the-maker’ video will be hosted. We will also offer winners one of Delishops’ sought-after spaces at the next Delishops Discovers Meet the Maker Event in conjunction with the Speciality and Fine Food Fair.”

With extensive connections across all sectors of the UK food and drink industry, the partnership will help ensure that all entrants to the Scottish Retail Food & Drink Awards will be introduced to a range of new wholesale customers and will benefit from valuable exposure thanks to Delishops’ extensive digital and social media PR channels.

Scottish Retail Food & Drink Awards Director Antony Begley said: “This partnership is a natural fit for the Awards and helps bring significant new value for every single entrant in the Small Producer categories. Our aim with these awards has always been to get more of Scotland’s world-class food and drink products onto more shelves and this partnership ensures every entrant will get in front of over 5,000 buyers.

Entries for the Scottish Retail Food & Drink Awards are welcomed from all companies that produce and market products in Scotland for the Scottish retail marketplace, from discounters to supermarkets, from convenience stores to farm shops and everyone in between.

The Scottish Retail Food & Drink Awards is supported by a panel of distinguished judges led by internationally-renowned food expert Jane Milton and a large team of highly respected independent food and drink experts. Official ambassador for the awards is Bruce Langlands, a highly esteemed figure and former Director of Foods at Harrods and Director of Food & Hospitality at Selfridges.

The Awards also benefit from the support of Scotland’s largest circulation newspapers with The Scottish Sun, The Times in Scotland and The Sunday Times in Scotland confirmed as official Consumer Media Partners.
