Bounce Back, a Scottish drink said to prevent hangovers, has won national listings with Asda and Costco just in time for the Christmas party season.

Marketed as “the first post social replenishment drink,” it contains a blend of 17 vitamins, minerals, prebiotics and amino acids that apparently help the body recover after a night on the lash.

The sparkling drink is low-calorie, caffeine- and GMO-free, with no artificial sweeteners, and is vegan friendly.

It comes in both raspberry and tropical flavours in 250ml cans with an RSP of £2.

The product launched following years of research and 58 trial formulations concocted by biochemist founders Dhruv Trivedi and Vandana Vijay.

“Our national listings mark another momentous milestone in Bounce Back’s success, as we help more people across the country to take back tomorrow and say goodbye to that post-social fatigue,” Druv said.

“The timing of our roll-out across supermarket shelves comes at a perfect time for customers too, as we enter the party season, and our social lives begin to ramp up with Christmas parties and festive celebrations.”

He’s not wrong about the timing; internet searches for hangover cures are on the rise and will – if last year’s data is anything to go by – reach their peak in late December.

“This busy social life, teamed with the darker, colder mornings, can make it hard to get out of bed even on our best day, which is why we’ve used our background in biochemistry to develop a drink – backed by science – that helps those with busy lifestyles and active social lives to wake up feeling ready to take on the day,” Dhruv concluded.
